Reimagining Learning for the Age of AI

I’m Raquel Cardoso, a strategist, operator, and former tech founder currently helping EdTech startups and forward-thinking organizations shape the future of learning.

My work bridges deep operational know-how with big-picture vision. I’ve led multidisciplinary teams across five countries, scaled deep tech products from prototype to market, and guided EdTech initiatives through strategy, UX design, and ecosystem mapping.

In 2019, I co-founded and scaled an XR startup, Sense of Space, where I served as COO and steered the company through product pivots, private and public funding, and international growth, resulting in three acquisition offers. Our company was successfully sold to a large Asian company and the team continues to thrive there.

Before that, I managed EdTech marketing strategy and product development at Lumiar Education, a globally recognized innovator in education. I later returned to Lumiar as a Market Research & Strategy Consultant, where I now explore Nordic expansion opportunities and EdTech positioning.

Why Learning

AI is already outperforming humans in many areas we once considered uniquely ours, such as analysis, pattern recognition, writing or design. As machines grow more capable, we need to ask ourselves how to remain relevant, resilient, and fulfilled.

We need a new model of learning that goes beyond job training. One that nurtures the abilities machines can’t replicate: emotional depth, ethical reasoning, embodied presence, collaborative sense-making, and the capacity to navigate complexity with humility and imagination.

Humans are made to learn. It’s how we grow, adapt, and make meaning of the world and of ourselves. Learning is at the core of human flourishing, and in the age of AI, we don't need to learn better just to keep up, we need to do it so we can stay whole.

Learning is how we stay human.

Let’s Collaborate

If you’re working on something that reimagines how people learn and you’re looking for strategic support, market insights, or help translating vision into action, I’d love to connect. I’m open to consulting, fractional positions, or advisory roles with Education companies and learning-focused organizations that are serious about shaping the future.
